Lisandra graduated from Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law in May of 2018 and is currently completing her articles with us at Carter Ford LLP.

Born in Cuba, she spent the early part of her childhood there, before moving to Moncton, New Brunswick, and later Halifax. She is a two-time graduate of Dalhousie University, earning an undergraduate degree with Honours in Biology and Psychology, before receiving her JD.

Lisandra is committed to giving back to, and being involved in, her community. She has volunteered with a variety of organizations such as, Halifax Refugee Clinic, Autism Nova Scotia, and serves on several community boards including the College of Social Workers’ Board of Examiners and Complaints Committee.

As a child in Cuba, she attended a school for performing arts where she studied Ballet. A love for dance and the arts have stayed with her throughout her life and you might have seen her in a production at Neptune Theatre, or the Pond Playhouse. Ever modest, Lisandra describes herself as “a fairly active person”, and adds skiing, playing ultimate frisbee, softball, and canoeing to the list of things she likes to do in her spare time.

She currently lives in Dartmouth with her partner Chris and their two cats, Mitah and Mara.
